Capital Grille Opens August 8

The national multi-location steakhouse The Capital Grille has an opening date for its location at Rookwood Exchange in Norwood. It will open August 8 for lunch and dinner daily.
The original Capital Grille opened in Providence, R.I. in 1990; it then grew to several more locations, including D.C. and Boston , and was bought by the Darden Group in 2007. Darden Group’s other chains include Olive Garden, Seasons 52 and Red Lobster.
The Capital Grille is on a higher dining level than those; with a steakhouse menu that includes dishes such as a bone-in Kona-crusted dry-aged sirloin with shallot butter; porcini-rubbed Delmonico steak with 15-year aged balsamic vinegar, lobster macaroni and cheese, and pan-fried calamari with hot cherry peppers.
The lunch menu includes $18 lunch plates with soup, salad, entree and a side. Features for this season include cauliflower soup with crab and curry oil, a lobster roll, and seared scallops with creamed corn, popcorn shoots and arugula.
The wine is chosen by Master Sommelier, Georges Miliotes, who also oversees the wine program for Seasons 52. It ranges from $30 wines to prized vintages from small vineyards around the world. They offer wine lockers for regular wine-loving guests.
The location here includes seats for 288, including three private dining rooms. There is a lounge area and a covered outdoor patio.
Matthew Foody is the local Managing Partner and David Himmelberger the Executive Chef Partner for Cincinnati. Rookwood Exchange is the newly opened addition to Rookwood Commons and Pavilion just off the Smith-Edwards Roads exit, where a Seasons 52 has already opened.
The Capital Grille will serve lunch from 11;30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday; dinner 5-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 5-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5-9 p.m. Sunday. Call 513-351-0814 for reservations, which are recommended but not required
