No Thanks to The Super-Bowl Makeover

What is the world coming to?  I am elated to see a mother of grown up sons act, look and conduct herself  like a mother.  Her name is Jackie Harbaugh.  She is the mother of Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh.  She is also the mother of the San Francisco 49ers Jim Harbaugh.  She is married to Jack Harbaugh. She is a amazing woman, sister and mother. She represents what all mothers should be.

In the press conference she was simply herself.  Time has turned her hair a little gray. Her age shows on her face. However, she is where every woman should be when they get her age. Smiling, laughing, proud of her sons, simply enjoying herself.  She did not feel the need to have the Super-Bowl make-over.  You know all the things that scream this is the SUPER-BOWL!  You may never get this chance again. Your 15 minutes of fame is here! Take hold and hold on for your life. This is your Super-Bowl 15 minutes of fame

First you must tell America who you are wearing. Now stand up so we can see your figure, spin around so we can see your behind.  Make sure no one can tell if you are wearing your spanks.   Is your dress Vera Wang or Dulcie and Gabana. Then you must get a stylist.  Then you must have your hair fried, dyed, and laid to the side. Only natural for it to be blond. Now you are suppose to get hair extension's, because you need your hair flowing at all times.  Next you need the gold jewelry and diamond rings to reflect off the lights that will take over the room. Then you will need tons of make-up, false eye lashes, botox, false nails and don't forget the breast implants. You must  push your husband out of the photo so we can  focus only on you. Smile this is your close up shot for the Super-Bowl. The Super-Bowl is all about the money, hype, press conferences, puppy bowls, 8 million dollars spent on ads, over priced tickets, gambling bookies, parties, alcohol, and swag.

Jackie Harbaugh knows all about the fame and fortunes that super-bowl week brings.  Football has been a part of her family for years.  She can have all the publicity and prestige that money and fame that the Super-Bowl can bring.  Yet, she chooses to keep her gray hair, go without the botox, keep the make-up off, keep her husband by her side and simply be herself.  Yes, it's refreshing to see a lady care less about getting older.  What is important to Jackie Harbaugh is that she is there for her sons.  On Super-Bowl Sunday America will see one brother be a winner of the game and one will be a loser of the game.  Thank goodness they have a mom like Jackie to make them both feel like winners.  Make no doubt about it, Jackie you are a Super-Woman, Super-Wife, and Super-Mom of Superbowl XLVll.

Glad to Be Back!

Wow!  It has been a long time since I posted on the  Norwood's News and Views Blog site.  First, I need to apologize to those that were reading and commenting on my posts. Second,  I owe each and every one of you a big "I'm Sorry".  I'm sorry for not telling you I would be leaving.  I have been gone since September 2011.  I'm sorry for not keeping you up on the News and Views of the City of Norwood.  I'm sorry to those of you who read my blogs for entertainment purposes.  I'm sorry to those that read Norwood News and Views  to get laughs and smiles.  I'm sorry to those that read Norwood News and Views to blast me out.  I'm sorry to the resident, and friends that I told I would start back  sooner than I have.  I'm sorry to all those that had started to read my blog and take me a little more serious.  I hope you care enough to ask, "what happened"?  My answer:

Life just happened to me.  My blog, my job, children, home ownership, love life, and my spiritual faith all kept me busy.  And I admit, I was failing at them all.  I was not giving proper attention to anything.  I was cheating on all the things I love the most.  I was cheating God.  I was not giving my Holy Father the love, tithes, and time I should have been.   I was cheating my children.  I was not involved with their education, their personal lives or their spiritual lives the way I should have been.  I was cheating on my health and wellness.  I was partying and more than I should. I was not exercising nor seeking wellness advice. I was not fixing myself up as much as I should have.  I was not attending meetings like I wanted.  Basically, I was a hot mess!

Now I'm back on track.  I have made amend to my Holy Father, I have apologized to my children for not doing more to be involved with their lives.  I got my mo-jo back. I have apologized to myself.  I have forgiven myself for not getting the grass cut on time.  I have apologized for not giving my job the special attention it needs.  I have committed to scheduling my time better.  I have a better health regimeSo expect to hear from me more.   Yes, you can say ............Yvonne has got her groove back.  Welcome aboard!  Thanks for your help and support!
