NEGRO LIFE IN NORWOOD

Norwood got a axe to grind with this Negro.  I was suppose to be gone!  Had my fill of the Norwood does its Negro's a dis-service/wrong attitude.  I am suppose to be living any where but Norwood.

Norwood  has history that we don't allow Negros to live here long.  Norwood has harassed Negros, Norwood arrest Negros, Norwood lie on Negros, Norwood physically assault Negros, Norwood intimidate Negros, Norwood tries to run Negros out, Norwood will cut the water off quicker in a Negro's house, Norwood will tax Negros quicker, Norwood will pull Negros over for riding while black, Norwood will charge Negros parents for utter nonsense, Norwood do not see Negros as Americans, Norwood will never let a Negro work in their Police and Fire departments, Norwood treats it's Negros like we are still in the Jim Crow days.  Norwood will never listen when a Negro is speaking, Norwood will never care what happens to a Negro, Norwood will never vote for a Negro, Norwood does not want to come into the 21st Century when it comes to Negros.

This Negro has indured all the above and I'm still living in Norwood.......Any questions?

Marriott Opens Tuesday

The lobby of the new Courtyard at Rookwood Exchange, opening Tuesday. Cindi Andrews/The Enquirer Marriott’s Courtyard Cincinnati Midtown will welcome its first guests Tuesday at Rookwood Exchange in Norwood. The 123-room property has 3,000 square feet of meeting space and all the upgrades available, according to Rookwood developer Jeff Anderson, CEO of Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate. Among them: a salt-water pool, Marriott’s new C-Bar and a fire-pit patio. The chain averages about 1,000 advance bookings for a new hotel, Anderson said, but Rookwood has more than 4,000 reservations and is already filled up for this weekend. As employees prepared for the opening with last-minute role-play Monday, an upcoming guest shed light on the hotel’s quick popularity. Lindsay Rhollins, who is getting married in late August, said she selected the new hotel for her guests because of its proximity to both her Hyde Park ceremony and Downtown reception. In addition, Rhollins said, parking is far cheaper than at Downtown hotels. Asked if there was any hesitation about choosing a hotel sight unseen, mom Nancy Rhollins said: “We’ve stayed at Courtyards before.”

Rookwood Exchange Project

CINCINNATI - Developers of the Rookwood Exchange project announced a new element Tuesday: A luxury apartment building with concierge services and a pedestrian link to an adjacent office building. “It’s similar to how the Banks operates,” said J.R. Anderson, vice president of development at Jeffrey R. Anderson Real Estate Inc. “It’s going to be operated with a fitness club, outdoor pool, big game room, parking underneath the building.” The apartment building will cost between $17.5 million and $19 million, Anderson said. It will occupy the northern part of the 13-acre Rookwood Exchange site, which is the third phase of a retail and office development at I-71 at the Smith/Edwards Road exit. The apartments will be built on a portion of the site where Anderson previously contemplated a third hotel. Already the site has a Courtyard by Marriott hotel and Seasons 52 restaurant. Capital Grille will open in August. A parking garage and office building are under construction. Monthly rents of up to $2,000 are contemplated for the studio and one-to-three bedroom apartments, which will range in size up to 1,100 square feet. Capital Investment Group, developers of Bellevue’s SouthShore condos, will serve as leasing agents and property managers for the new building. Fate of Norwood Health Department

While caring for her chronically ill mother for several years, Susan Knox relied on a nurse from the Norwood Health Department to make home visits. “The services they provide are absolutely invaluable and just as important to our safety and security as the police and fire departments,” said Knox, who has lived in the city for 16 years. Now, though, the health department’s survival hinges on a five-year, 1-mill additional tax levy that will appear on the Aug. 6 ballot. • Full election coverage “If the levy passes, the health department will continue,” said Keith Moore, chair of Norwood City Council’s finance committee. But “what people think of as the health department will not exist if this levy fails.” Faced with a financial crisis that city officials blame on reductions in state funding, the recession and job losses, Norwood City Council this year halved the health department’s 2013 budget, to $261,000. Health department advocates, including Knox, were able to cobble together a plan to keep the department running through the end of this year, and they successfully lobbied for a health levy to appear on the ballot. If it passes, the levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 house $30.15 a year and would raise an estimated $374,500 a year. If the levy fails, the city in theory could maintain a board of health, and, if city finances improve sufficiently, reinstate health department workers, Moore said. But he said that would require a sudden, significant increase in revenue “which I don’t see happening.” Norwood, he noted, is not legally required to have a health department. The department now operates with a bare-bones staff of two nurses, an administrative assistant and a medical director, Dr. Frank Perrino, who is doubling as interim health commissioner. He said he hasn’t taken a salary for either position this year. In addition to sending nurses on in-home visits, the department’s services include operating children’s immunization clinics, flu vaccination clinics and senior-citizen blood pressure clinics; inspecting restaurants, grocery stores and swimming pools; offering instruction on use of child safety seats; testing drinking water; keeping vital statistics; and offering dental services to Norwood students in school buildings. If the health department dissolves, some services, such as immunizations, would be picked up by other agencies. But other services, such as in-home nurse visits, would fall by the wayside, Perrino said.
